Hey Guys! This is somewhat of a post to tell you that I'm still alive and another post explaining my recent online absence.

Do you ever go to a place and create some of the most wonderful memories and powerful emotions that make you spontaneously smile whenever you remember it?
If you missed the countdown on Instagram here is the series in one photo, (pssst, you can follow me @x3jenli)! I just wanted to do a quick explanation of what you would see over the coming months if you're confused about seeing all these" Coming Soon" buttons that do nothing at the moment. As I mentioned when I started re-desiging this site, I wanted to open new departments that represented hobbies or inspirations of mine. I want to upload them ASAP (trust me I really do!) but I'm currently right in the middle of my exam period and when that's finished I go into 2 full days of work and then I fly off (more on that to come), so to give them the attention they deserve I'll be revealing them after I come back. Hopefully I'll be able to find time between the end of my trip and the beginning of another semester of uni to roll these departments out! *fingers crossed I'll be productive*

After months of hard work, #thenew5ft10 is ready to launch! But just to tease you a little and keep some suspense, all will be revealed in
Ever heard of the saying, time flies when you're having fun? Well time also flies...
I've been meaning to create a video for every single trip I undertake for a while now, but every time I'm in the moment, it's just that, I'm in the moment and some how my brain completely forgets that I have a camera with me that can capture what I'm going through. I endeavour to share as much as possible to you all, but I also believe in living in the moment and not everything I do needs to be shared. There should be a balance between our online presence and sharing and our personal life.
That being said, I am very happy to finally show my first video on the blog. Fingers crossed that next year I'll remember to capture more moments. x
In the comments section I wrote I love the beach. That is beyond 100% true. I love the water, the sand, the air, but I will be honest, I don't like tanning. Me and tanning in the sun don't match. I have quite hilarious stories about the sun and I, and I get teased about it a lot from my friends but it's a story for another day. When I'm at the beach and I see the waves come and go, I imagine my problems being taken into the ocean. It's a silly thing I know, but it helps me relax and helps me get a better perspective on the situation. This video has a lot of beach clippings, I'll admit, and it's probably because it's the only time when I'm relaxing and I have my camera. I have the time to capture the waves rather than being constantly on the move.
Have a Happy New Year's everyone. This is 5ft10 checking out, goodbye 2014, bring on 2015!
Stay safe
x
