CONFIDENCE IS KEY

Shirt, jeans and shoes. One of my most comfortable looks.

This year has been a whirlwind year so far. From leaving highschool and entering university, from making new friends and joining new societies, from talking to people who I would usually shy away from and to going to events my old self would never have gone to, this year is truely a representation of a new me. I've really been focusing on being confident this year, to acknowledge that there is nothing wrong with asking questions or giving a wrong answer, nothing scary about starting a conversation with a total stranger and nothing wrong with being too tall around your friends. Self-esteem has always been an issue with me, for always looking like the odd one out or being too quiet in various groups, to being scared to try new things and missing out on great opportunities. This year I truely hope, that one day confidence and self-esteem will not be an issue and I can only hope that this development will be represented in my photos, my outfits and me as a person.

I've found that the easiest confidence booster is being comfortable in your own clothes. And for me its a pair of jeans, a shirt and some form of footwear not high-heel related. (<--- confidence issue right there). In this outfit choice, I can move around easily and do a whole heap of activities; walk, sit, jump, run, you name it! Being comfortable can help you forget about body image, not to mention you wouldn't be fidgeting with your clothes (one less thing to worry about). I guess what I'm trying to say after all this is CONFIDENCE IS KEY to being a healthy, happy self.

  5. It's scary, that transition, but it sounds like you're pulling it off with ease. And you know, as you say, there's nothing like an outfit to make you confident. You look gorgeous in those jeans x
