Imagine this. A canal in the middle of a shopping centre. Boats to take you exploring. How cool is that? Before I went to Singapore, I did my research and came across pictures of people riding boats in Marina Bay Shoppes and I was so shocked as to why there would be a canal in the middle of a shopping area. Nonetheless, I thought it was a very cool idea and if I had the chance I would ride it. And so I did.
At SGD$10 a ticket, it takes you along a short route that passes by this magnificent occulus, which at specific times emits water. It's absolutely magical and you can see in the photos below, people riding the canal during the show.
The occulus emitting water surprised me. On my first day, when I was looking for a place to eat, I stumbled upon the show. I had no idea that it would happen, yet alone what would happen. But it was definitely amazing to see. The first photo, shows all the information needed to ride along the Sampan as well as the occulus times!
